So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and they’re simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was “your piano is too close to the fireplace, you’ll dry it out” and if that’s not the internet in a nutshell I don’t know what is.

Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but do we still use the term DSD for intersex people? I thought not but I’m not in that community so can’t say.
Imagine the emotional impact on finding out you might be intersex from one of these tests. Will these women be supported? This has happened before and is one of the many reasons sex testing was stopped.
Now I’m not an expert and don’t know which of these would appear on a cheek swab test (assuming there are rules around not swallowing beforehand). But like, sex is complicated. Yes some of these are rare but a) that’s because we don’t know and b) adding all the rare things together is a lot of folks
Reasons a cis women might have Y chromosomes:
- Twin brother
- Gestating a child with a Y chromosome
- Bone marrow transfusion from someone with a Y chromosome
- Being intersex (we know of XY women who have naturally conceived and given birth)

My white MacBook got me through my software engineering degree, and yeah I had several parts of the case replaced, but it was a lovely little machine and really Apple should just make those again. Half the students had one. You could replace the RAM yourself! What a concept.
