AI toys for young children need tighter rules, researchers warn In first study of its kind, Cambridge researchers found AI toys could misread some children's emotions.

Imagine a toy that can respond in natural language to a young child who will not understand that this voice does not mean the toy can think.

Now imagine that you don’t know what that toy will say to your child.

WHY WOULD YOU LET YOUR CHILD HAVE THAT TOY?

Palantir CEO Makes Shocking Confession on Disrupting Democratic Power They’re saying the quiet part out loud now.

"Palantir CEO Alex Karp says his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men."

Just saying it right out loud now.

A map of the Middle East with casualties. It is done by country, and as a result doesn't show how many of the victims in Gulf States are guest workers.

Al Jazeera has a very good tracker of the deaths and injuries in the Iran war. It would be striking, however, if they ran a separate tally for guest workers, bc by far the most frequent victims in the Gulf states are guest workers, often from S Asia.
