I keep on seeing videos and news things about how kids that are even heading to college can't read.
I'm here wondering not only how, but thinking "this is usa only situation isn't it?"

Apparently given comments, indiana is expected to invalidate drivers licenses and maybe both certificates as well because "well we can".
Not like official yet, but comments made by some in power
Was this always there? I honestly don't know if the Division 2 changes things, or things are just more noticable.
Happens on our street all the time. It's like everyone is like "is it this week or next? oh someone put one out" next thing you know all have it out.
Same for garbage if it's been a holiday, if one puts out garbage, all do.
Ugh, this program is getting more and more added to it... so close to saying "fuck it" and re-writing it entirely from the ground up (just copying some files that took months to calculate).
Especially since I've taken some useful parts out and made them referenced libraries.
Back when I was a kid I used to say "failure to answer a question, or avoiding a question, is a positive/confirmation answer to the question"
Problem I'm seeing way too much: maga falling for disinformation spread by AI, and claiming the opposite of reality, referencing a post of a post of a post....of a post of the AI slop fake thing not realizing it's fake because they saw something that made them be made at people who don't believe it.
I seriously do not trust a LLM to not hallucinate enough to teach anything to kids, let alone grade things properly without prompt injection being a thing.
Hell even searching and AI things reviewing it, even AI says it's an unproven tech startup money grab.
I thought it was going to say it'd only affect him if it was someone he was related to or loved.
Division 2, best speech ever (one about authority and lack of checks and balances) youtu.be/G4fbnsVUm_c
Sometimes I wonder what a clownshow on meth would look like--then I realize it's in the news every day.
I'm surprised more places don't just all decide to stop the time changes, and just go forward/back (depending on the year) 30 minutes to split the difference, and make that permanent.
Woke up, looked at news...
"god has appointed trump to start Armageddon in the holy war against Iran"
I swear the first time I see or hear "bring forth the cleansing light of the lord (i.e. nuclear blast flash)"....
Iβm watching videos/documentaries on gardening.
Really starting to think subscription plans started post WWII, just for like gardening fertilizing, and water purification.
Good thing is my lawyer is a work based workmanβs comp one who knows employment law (and she only gets paid if I get money, so itβs in her interest to get money)
I swear I think itβd be better if all layers did that at times
Iβve submitted proof of them doing it to my attorney already lol, under he guise of βsince your calculating workmanβs comp owed wages and lost wagesβ¦ you might need to know they are doing this unrelatedβ
Yeah. Best part is if they do, I know 2 other people will probably file stolen wages state report on them. They are salary, but they get pay docked if they have to head to drs or something, even if working remote
Like 1 should pay something (perm basic "disability" needing accommodations from work accident). But still
There's even 3 other major signs that is making me think that. But not safe to lay that too.
Even toss a co worker it seemed odd... she hesitated and was like "you might be right"
First item listed by an ai with the situation was same thought.
Sure maybe not, but working on 3 things
I have a weird feeling the owners of my company are planning on selling the company...
They are spending thousands to make the buildings pretty and look new-- but not reality spending money for anything else.
Shy of one thing they are under contact on
Maybe not... but their expense priorities don't seem to be focused on actual business, rather appearance of the building/premises only.
I'm reading into this including "hmm... given owner's health, health of their family, and their desire to live in other states" as:
-- they are wanting to sell the business off to make a one-time final income burst, and/or sell off the building with maybe business being remote until they sell.
Work:
- doesn't replace win10 pcs, nor buy ESU
- doesn't buy proper licensing for azure server (last I knew)
- doesn't replace security cameras
Does:
- paint the entire inside of building
- professionally cleans windows
- replaced carpets
- maybe hiring pro carpet deep-cleaner for new carpets
I really hope that I'm not the only one questioning how a warehouse has the water capacity to house thousands of people, when it was designed to have maybe a few bathrooms on opposite sides, and just storage racks.
Every single meme, video, topic, talking point, comment in media, news, government... literally everything has to be looked up from multiple sources--many times from outside the country just to get a more impartial reporting.
Fact checking is a great thing. Seriously I think things should be fact checked. I do it all the time with some math problems that I'm like "wait... that can't be right..." then check and am like "wait... yep it is, ok cool, good to know."
I hate that now we *have* to fact check everything though.
So far this morning:
Cat peed on me
Spilled tea on pants.
I now have 2 pair of pants that were clean before I put them on, dirty and having to be washed again quicker than I normally would've. Like seriously why wash pants when just wearing at home?
Why does W sound like double-u but look like double-v
User "our excel file is missing data/corrupt, as are all histories, onedrive has corrupt version with no histories of good, no backups"....
me: gave directions to potentially find it in the shadowcopies through mounting/etc.
