having just rolled credits on Xenoblade Chronicles X, it's incredibly funny that the previous game I played was Expedition 33

ah sudden difficulty spike in a Xenoblade chronicles game, was beginning to think I was going to miss you this time around
> our sizes are different than Oura or other rings
will we be able to adjust our size before shipping? I definitely picked my ring size based on an Oura π
llms are the modern day visual basic and no i will not be elaborating
only three hours into expedition 33 and yeah, I can see why it won game of the year
I think we're rapidly approaching a future where software written pre-LLMs will be desirable in the same way that low-background steel is preferred for certain use cases.
crying, screaming, throwing up

consider you advice solicited!! Iβm tired of oiling this damn sink every time I wash dishes π

A black kitchen sink without visible hard water deposits
Black sinks are beautiful and all but what no one tells you is that they'll eventually develop permanent hard water deposits. Thankfully a thin layer of mineral oil is enough to hide them temporarily.
Fun fact: while many other languages have syntactic sugar, C is the only language with syntactic hydrochloric acid
@panic.com just getting started with nova and loving it so far! Is there a way to prefer opening terminals as horizontal splits? Or maybe a way to put terminal into the debug pane? Working with a decades worth of VS Code muscle memory π
CPAP? Aerophagia is a common side effect.
Watched Pillion last night and today they announce a nation-wide theatrical release. Coincidence? I think not.
Replaced the shitty 1366x768 TN panel on my Windows 8.1 ThinkPad T470 with a nice 1080p wide gamut display. The difference is astounding.
Yeah! I wanted to make sure my approach to using AudioToolbox worked first, so this is just a hardcoded demo song. But the idea will be to have it mirror the menu structure of a connected iPod. So youβll be able to play songs, albums, and playlists from your iPod.
today's goofy project: a media player with an iPod-inspired interface written in zig using raylib, combined with an AudioToolbox decoding backend piping lossless audio to raylib's audio system
@pfrazee.com can we get some better error reporting on video upload failures (at least a console log or something)? I'm having a hell of a time trying to upload small <30MB video files. I've tried every encoding parameter I can think of, and even videos shot on iPhone and uploaded in the app fail.
I simply cannot resist a good gadget. Will definitely be picking up one of these! clicksphone.com/communicator
Screenshot of the header of iTunes on macOS Sierra
I feel like we've lost the plot when it comes to UI design on macOS. Everything is just sauceless compared to what we once had. This is iTunes from macOS Sierra. Look at how crisp it looks! I can easily tell what's clickable!
welp bought another cheap thinkpad, as one does!
My E490 is too new to support Windows 8.1, and I want something that can reliably handle iTunes for the rare instances I need to be able to restore an iPod and keep the FAT32 format. So I grabbed a T470s for just $80!
More iPod goodies! Today it's what I believe to be the most comprehensive and up-to-date description of the database files used on iPods. This was put together from the iPod Linux wiki, an open source library for the iPod shuffle, and by looking at the code for libgpod.

two weeks off from work, so I'm back on my iPod bullshit!
today it's a public repository containing system information files from (nearly) every iPod model and generation!

ππππ thank you!
@caseystudy.bsky.social got a link to the light stick you have?
@styfle.dev have you explored reporting tree-shaking stats on packagephobia? Curious if thereβs prior art in that area. Would love to make sure I donβt accidentally break tree-shaking for packages, so Iβve been thinking of making a little CLI that bundles each export and reports the size.
NVIDIA GB300 NVL72, with lots of gold accents that are completely unnecessary but make it look really cool
I know it won't, but if the AI bubble popping means I could theoretically get one of the gorgeous NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 racks for super cheap maybe it will be worth destroying the economy. Look at how pretty this is!
still canβt bring myself to delete this one
Am 5β10β, can confirm. It also only happens when youβre in a rush or frustrated. It also applies to drawers!
@reckless.bsky.social watching the Zune Version Control episode (loving it btw!) and I really, really want an episode on the history of gadget reviews. I think itβd be cool to explore how thatβs changed and developed over the decades.
just took nyquil and sleepy time tea i better wake up dead
