What a nutbarπ€ͺ
You have a way with words, Laura. Such outpourings! I will definitely look up Oliverβs βDevotionsβ. Thanks.

Indigenous wisdom has much to teach us. Iβm glad you clarified that she experienced joy equally fully. Now I feel betterπ₯ΉπποΈ
Right country, wrong province. This is south eastern Ontario.π
Condensed, indeed. Less is often more.
Thanks for the other recommendations. Iβll check them out. I like the idea of sensitivity to nature. Thoreau and Emmerson are two writers who had a gift in describing our connection to nature. Itβs been a while since Iβve read them, but good feelings remain.
Thank you! Actually I have read Richard Rohr. A former coworker gave me his book Falling Upward when I retired. We are definitely on the same wavelength mon amie!
Oh, to feel the pain of Mother Earth is unimaginable. Our earth has a motherβs heart and it must be both infinitely strong and entirely obliterated at the same time. Too much to fathom. ππ
This news makes me sooooo happy!!! Thank you MP Lori Idloutπ€ Now with 3 byelections in strong Liberal ridings in April we are closer than ever to a majority. Soon we will ne π¨π¦πͺer than ever!!

Geese on the floodplain across the road from my house. Quite the cacophony!

Thatβs the burden we sensitive ones carryβ¦π Sending you a pick-me-up hugπ€
Nicely said, Lauraπ Though I read a lot, I donβt read a lot of poetry. It was especially refreshing to read your post of Mary Oliverβs poem. Thereβs so much more nuance to poetry than mere prose. You may have just converted me! Who do you recommend for a newby to read?
Thanks for posting this. Profoundly movingπ₯ΉποΈπ§‘
A photo of David Suzuki, Canadian zoologist and climate activist, with a quote from him: "We have become the impatient species, too busy to let nature replenish itself and too puffed up with our own sense of importance to acknowledge our utter dependence on its generosity."

The Trump regime is taking the maxim Β«divide and conquerΒ» literally and to a deadly, self destructive extreme.
So sadπ’ Trumpβs erratic wrecking ball is not only hurting the US - it has global targets and impact. The damage of this war escalation will have immeasurable consequences.
I wasnβt sure I wanted to know what goes on in Trumpβs head, but Iβm glad I listened. Thanks. It helps to put the madness in context.
And a good day to you too Raymond.βοΈ
Powerful image and wordsπ€
A hefty but worthwhile read.
Thatβs a hefty article, but a good overview. I believe another reason for Trumpβs war is so he can avoid an election. The reasons are many and complex, and the affects are global and long lasting. Itβs a truly sad state of affairsπ’ What shall we do about it, is the question to ask. What can we do?
Follow the money.
And on that note, I heard about the Obama Presidential Centre Museum opening in Chicago in June. It looks positively amazing. A beacon of hopeβοΈ
The story is always what must PP do to be more likeable, to be taken seriously on the world stage, to attract women voters, etcβ¦ The fact is that he is seriously lacking in genuine leadership qualities. Heβs a poser. Heβs fake. His ruse is see through. Canadians are smarter than he thinks. #NeverPP
Thank you, Laura. I believe Carneyβs words will go down in history as some of the wisest during these tumultuous times. And we both know whose words will go down as the most derangedπ’
We all need some good news these days. Happy to share ours with you, mon amie π€
OMG Evil begets evilπΏ
We may be called upon to support our NATO allies who are being attacked in Trumpβs war escalation fiasco. This could be armaments or financial aid to those countries. Maybe sanctions? This is very different from directly attacking Iran. Canada is not providing military aid to the US.
Nope, will never forget the evil unleashed by Trumpstein. Power to survivorsβ
