It seems to be an ongoing pattern that Iβve noticed. Iβm sorry to hear that was your experience there. I hope youβre able to do something much more fulfilling now! β€οΈ
So now we have 1) allowing cops 2) allowing the Salvation Army to table and 3) throwing away clothes that could be donated to unhoused neighbors? What the fuck is going on at TC Pride?
re Childrens pausing trans healthcare treatments for kids: when i first realized i was trans back when i was 16, i started seeing a therapist at the UMN Center for Sexual Health (which was full of gatekeeping at the time in 2012 and may or may not still be)
some trans & intersex bills i'd like to see the state DFL pass if we retake the trifecta this fall:
1. a state stockpile of hormones for if supply is threatened by the federal government
2. contingency funding for trans & intersex healthcare providers to access if targeted by the federal government
99.9% of people do not think that way at all though. I do not like the era we are in where hair implants, nose jobs, etc. get lumped in under gender-affirming care. While technically true, I suppose, it does dilute things significantly, I 100% agree with you on that.
I am not an average person when it comes to my knowledge of this topic specifically, but I do broadly do think gender-affirming care is the more inclusive term to include both trans and intersex people, whose issues sometimes overlap and sometimes donβt.
No, Iβm not particularly happy staying up until 2 answering questions and sending out Doodle Poll links. But yes, I do think itβs worth it.
Also: if your preferred candidate isnβt on the public schedule, itβs because they didnβt schedule anything with me. Ask them why, not me, please!
Yes, campaigns, you will be receiving 1:00 am emails from me detailing next steps in the Stonewall DFL endorsement process. Yes, it will probably be a week after you send your initial email. And yes, the inbox just gets that many emails during endorsement season.
As someone who started her run for Ward 5 city council⦠part of me wishes I would have stuck it out to try and have prevented *this* like I originally intended. E Burnett, I miss you.
it's the old tyler, the creator tweet about cyberbullying. just close your eyes! he goes away! he's just an online person to you!
The problem is that I actually am better than other people by pretending he doesnβt exist. Sorry Calvinball Congress :(
He won by one vote at the 2024 convention btw π
Having the chair of our largest CD call a meeting to remove a SEC director elected at convention while having no way to credential and ensure votes are tallied while fascism breaks down our door is the shot. Doing this is front of the Secretary of State is the chaser.
Theresa, I will never have one nice word for you except for tonight: thank you for this wonderful reaction meme. I will use it to make fun of bad leaders in the DFL for the rest of time.
This is the second time theyβve tried to remove Sam with no credentials system. If I had a nickelβ¦
You and me both ππ
Something something spending my Valentineβs Day scanning in precinct caucus resolutions because democracy is my one true love send tweet
WAIT! Where??
I will burn a bridge while standing on it. Play with your mama, not me.
Abolish the DHS.
Release all detainees.
This seems to be a goal for some is what I will say
Decrying trans people calling out transphobia in your political party in an effort to build unity isnβt something that I would say is very unifying.
DFL Precinct Caucus data entry crunch time + Super Bowl = a 3:00 am email to the Stonewall Board of Directors. Sorry!
Completely disgusting behavior, especially when @ilhanmn.bsky.social is one of the most vocal leaders in the nation fighting against the Trump administration.
The community here on Bluesky has been so welcoming to Stonewall and its priorities since we jumped on here. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for all that you do to keep Stonewall going. I hope to see you all at an event of ours, or just around, soon β€οΈ
Itβs a bit harder to tag everyone on the board here on Bluesky while Iβm on my phone, but just know we have some really cool people on the board serving with me this year :)
Founded in 1980, and recognized as a DFL community caucus in 1982, the mission has never changed. We continue to fight not just queer liberation, but for the liberation of all people. Iβm excited to be able to continue to lead this organization in its 46th year of continuous operation.
Happy to announce my re-election to another two-year term as Chair of Stonewall DFL. Stonewall DFL continues to have the distinction of the longest continuously operating community caucus in the DFL.
I wasnβt even at this part of the meeting what in the hell πππ thank you !!!!!
