re Childrens pausing trans healthcare treatments for kids: when i first realized i was trans back when i was 16, i started seeing a therapist at the UMN Center for Sexual Health (which was full of gatekeeping at the time in 2012 and may or may not still be)

some trans & intersex bills i'd like to see the state DFL pass if we retake the trifecta this fall:

1. a state stockpile of hormones for if supply is threatened by the federal government
2. contingency funding for trans & intersex healthcare providers to access if targeted by the federal government

99.9% of people do not think that way at all though. I do not like the era we are in where hair implants, nose jobs, etc. get lumped in under gender-affirming care. While technically true, I suppose, it does dilute things significantly, I 100% agree with you on that.

I am not an average person when it comes to my knowledge of this topic specifically, but I do broadly do think gender-affirming care is the more inclusive term to include both trans and intersex people, whose issues sometimes overlap and sometimes don’t.

No, I’m not particularly happy staying up until 2 answering questions and sending out Doodle Poll links. But yes, I do think it’s worth it.

Also: if your preferred candidate isn’t on the public schedule, it’s because they didn’t schedule anything with me. Ask them why, not me, please!

Yes, campaigns, you will be receiving 1:00 am emails from me detailing next steps in the Stonewall DFL endorsement process. Yes, it will probably be a week after you send your initial email. And yes, the inbox just gets that many emails during endorsement season.

Having the chair of our largest CD call a meeting to remove a SEC director elected at convention while having no way to credential and ensure votes are tallied while fascism breaks down our door is the shot. Doing this is front of the Secretary of State is the chaser.

Founded in 1980, and recognized as a DFL community caucus in 1982, the mission has never changed. We continue to fight not just queer liberation, but for the liberation of all people. I’m excited to be able to continue to lead this organization in its 46th year of continuous operation.
