Wide shot of entire Lego winter village display. Has a train loop with a carved foam tunnel.
The city square of the village alternating light/dark gray tiles. Shops line a side with a giant Christmas tree in the center.
The North Pole is raised above the village square on top of the mountain/train tunnel. Santa and his elves work to build toys and load the sleigh.
Decided to invest in a winter village upgrade for this year.
The opportunity for shenanigans here is quite enticing but in some level I would LOVE to have this with GCP for the day-job.

Thatβs a good idea. I should try that flow. Or tab groups.
This. Everyone pokes fun a the massive number of tabs open in my browser, but itβs due to muscle memory from searching for things as I work.
Nice. My kid has a bunch of the Disney sets and I aspire to rebuild them with her. Would be daunting with the current mess.
I really need to get a system like this in place. Do you dividers inside the trays? Or did you group similar but different size blocks together by color?
I appreciate that lists, starter packs, and a less creepy algorithm allows me to exist in a tech echo chamber of my own design.
Welcome!

And if youβre looking for the maturity model (like I was) - tag-app-delivery.cncf.io/whitepapers/...
The part I hate most is how the insurance year doesnβt align with the tax year. So you have to do your own math about some contributions like HSA or dependent care.
βHow do you find time to work on code as a Sr Director?β
An interesting question from a co-worker the other.
Quite simply, I purposefully make time for it. Itβs important to keep my skills up, learn new things, but also to use the opportunity to mentor and work with younger engineers.
I think every project of mine has ~20 commits to the tune of βtrying to make CI workβ at the very beginning. π
Iβve been spending some spare cycles the last week working with OTEL for Java. Kind of weird this is my first time doing AOP when compared to how much BPF Iβve written.
Ooooh. Good way of building community. Started in Defense making oracle 10g clusters fly on airplanes into staff aug consulting into build tooling, cloud and containers (pre-docker). Then onto building platforms for Fortune 50 with @danveloper.bsky.social and finally the leap into leadership.
