I've talked about "learned helplessness" before. But hot off the presses it's: LEARNED RESILIENCE! Let's fucking gooo!

This Barry guy's alright! Anyone who has a framed photo of Bernard Black in their studio is on the right side of history.

I can't tell you how irritated I am that I have to call my own bluff on this, but I warned you. Fascism? AI [also fascism]? All I know is art needs to be in stark opposition to this and unfortunately I can't see any other way.

That's it. I'm starting a ska band.

What is to be done re: the recent war crimes? I don’t want to be desensitized to this shit, it’s not ok! I don’t expect praxis via apps but whoo boy! It’s almost as if…the whole “letting” an “ally” decimate an entire people was AS BAD AS IF NOT WORSE THAN WE SAID IT WAS THE WHOLE TIME.

I was thinking more “Jonah Hill” when I saw the meme tbh lol!

After reading the article I totally see the point of your ire and also see, though the words are chosen so poorly, where she may be calling for more clinical study over possible subjectivity. it does seem wild to ignore lived experience!

Passage from wikipedia with a highlighted quoted portion that states: Towards the end of the meeting cognac was served, and after that the conversation became less restrained.[66] Eichmann said:
"The gentlemen were standing together, or sitting together and were discussing the subject quite bluntly, quite differently from the language which I had to use later in the record. During the conversation they minced no words about it at all ... they spoke about methods of killing, about liquidation, about extermination."[65]
Eichmann recorded that Heydrich was pleased with the course of the meeting. He had expected much resistance, Eichmann recalled, but instead, he had found "an atmosphere not only of agreement on the part of the participants, but more than that, one could feel an agreement which had assumed a form which had not been expected".

Passage from wikipedia with a highlighted quotation that reads: Shorthand notes for the minutes were taken by Eichmann's secretary, Ingeburg Werlemann, and the minutes were written by Eichmann in consultation with Heydrich.[69] At the conclusion of the meeting, Heydrich gave Eichmann firm instructions about what was to appear in the minutes. They were not to be verbatim: Eichmann ensured that nothing too explicit appeared in them. He said at his trial: "How shall I put it – certain over-plain talk and jargon expressions had to be rendered into office language by me."[68]
Eichmann condensed his records into a document outlining the purpose of the meeting and the intentions of the regime. He stated at his trial that it was personally edited by Heydrich, and thus reflected the message he intended the participants to take away from the meeting.[70] Copies of the minutes (known by the German word for "minutes" as the "Wannsee Protocol"[g])

And an introduction to what was constructed to oppose it, nonviolent communication: youtu.be/69thYD-0Hlc?...

Listen for both these things from “both sides.” We talk about the banality of evil. This is in part what it means

This is what tech companies are doing here. This is what the government is doing regarding deportations to el salvador. “Deportations” are something people understand as “normal,” the where people are going and what happens to them there becomes irrelevant.

While I’m on one: Adolph Eichmann while on trial, described how he translated brutal discussions of plans for mass murder into “Sprachregelung,” or “office language;” banal bureaucratic jargon, to normalize atrocity and complicity.

Nonviolent Communication was created specifically to counter this.

It will keep happening until you stop pretending this technology is thinking for itself and wasn’t programmed by humans who were not acting in good faith.

These bots weren’t exactly trained by Mother Theresa over here.

Hold them accountable. Get off their platforms too.

We’ll keep seeing this until these companies are held responsible. If money is a thing, states should be suing the pants off these companies for releasing this insane suicide machine.

Tech companies will claim a plausible deniability for their product literally telling people to kill themselves. There is a personal responsibility these companies have. As with any toy that kills a child, the manufacturer is responsible. Even if they made Teddy Ruxpin…or Chucky…speak for himself.

04.03.2026 16:44 👍 11 🔁 2 💬 1 📌 1

We really need to hold these companies to account now. They will claim a plausible deniability. But just like any toy that kills a child, the company that created it is responsible for their dangerous toy. There needs to be more lawsuits, recalls, and accountability! Good to see this case is on

04.03.2026 16:38 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

If a toy did this there would be a recall. Companies would be held accountable. There is a reframe that needs to happen quickly, that people crafted this technology and are responsible, despite any disclaimer they may put on it.
