I only do that because I don't think my projects are ever going to be big enough that people would care what commit does what.
when I commit to projects that actually matter I make sure to not do that. Thankfully my employer doesn't care about my commit messages on personal projects.
at least more than 3
especially when you write commits with thousands of lines changed and all you put for a commit message is:
β’ "fuc"
β’ "a"
β’ "cheese"
β’ "balls"
β’ "ow"
β’ "Why brain hurt"
β’ etc.

the example I call upon is using readable streams as the post body in a fetch request. It's functional in chrome (if you want to send a multi-part/form-data body you have to construct it yourself), and I believe it is now on the issue tracker for Firefox, and I don't even want to think about safari
I'm all for a more diverse browser engine horizon, but when chrome is the first/most stable implementation of a feature more than 80% of the time, it's really difficult to entertain trying to utilize features that are super beneficial for your use case. or to support other browsers in general.
