The opfor he was supposed to be simulating(Iran/Iraq) did not use suicide bombers en masse, yet he had a fleet of manned suicide boats.
The intention of MC was not for OpFor to win, it was a test of integrated systems where van Riper decided he wanted to try and win rather than actually train ppl
His motorcycle messengers allowed for faster than light communication and essentially teleported orders while not allowing any chance for interception/disruption(as was supposed to be simulated in the wargame)
He put ASMs on boats that weighed less than the missile systems themselves
To be fair, van Riper /was/ cheating for all intents and purposes.

One of the other funny things about this video is this guy right behind him who has AR magazines but no AR in his plate carrier.

This is really something that would be used if you were instructed by policy to carry your rifle at condition 4(magazine removed, bolt forward, safety on, no round in chamber) in like, an FOB, nobody would use this on a weapon they intended to actually shoot.
