relentless bombing More than 816,000 people are displaced due
to Israeli evacuation orders and airstrikes.

For the love of god socdems, STOP APOLOGIZING. Just ignore them. This is exactly how they ran Corbyn out of office. You look like a loser constantly apologizing for fake shit.

As a Samoan I find this pretty....💩
We have a saying about leadership and Matai titles.
"O le ala i le pule o le tautua" — “The path to leadership is through service.”
This guy has zero clues about leadership 🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾

The Covid immunity cycle:
Why catching the virus is basically our new booster
This clear headline issue was raised by the public, including those from the Long Covid community who are the canary in the coal mine/across where media advice is harmful or inconsistent with expert advice.
Stuff refused to change it.
This dismissive behaviour does not serve the truth or the public.

… either failed in the past by dropping protective requirements & avoiding implementation of school ventilation, free RATs, better vax access, etc, or are failing to act now. Would be good if opposition parties were more vocal about it now, but sadly some of them made those short-sighted decisions.

Totally understand calls for individuals to focus on masking, isolation and boosters seeing as Covid is most definitely not over, but it aggravates me that the people with most power to influence protective measures and behaviours (e.g. govt ministers, heads of healthcare, media editors) …

Get The Funk Out Ma Face
YouTube video by The Brothers Johnson - Topic
Today marks half a century since ‘Look Out for #1’, the first album by the Brothers Johnson, debuted on Billboard’s Soul LPs chart. Produced by Quincy Jones, the album featured this banger, which basically consisted of two epic choruses [1/2]

It's not surprising of course, because if Dems did criticise the Trump admin on moral grounds they'd have to reckon with their support for threats and attacks against Iran and other countries that took place under Dem presidents, but it's exasperating nonetheless.

Extremely bleak seeing high profile Dems attack the Trump admin over Iran and instead of being because Trump is killing Iranians & destroying their infrastructure, it's because Dems think he’s 'waging war incompetently', 'failing at regime change', or some other talking point from the right. [1/2]

Excerpt from RNZ article last year:
The Defence Minister wants to see New Zealand develop lethal weapons for international export through the help of tech companies.
I agree with Willis about peace being good. I take it then, that the govt will finally condemn the US & Israel for their acts of aggression, and that Willis will have a word to her fellow minister about the wickedness of warmongering.

I wrote about an all-time favorite media genre of mine: the Sleeper Cell Panic story. It addition to helping prop up the war effort against Iran and pressuring Dems to abandon their (token) DHS reforms, it has the added bonus of promoting mindless paranoia and racial profiling.

Health spending is never wasteful and cutting roles in pursuit of efficiency is a discredited concept.
So, for accuracy's sake, I think the paragraph from RNZ's article pictured on the left could do with some rewording.

Stuff headline
The Covid immunity cycle: Why catching the virus is basically our new booster
Lloyd Burr
March 12, 2026 • 4:00am
🚨 If anyone has contacts at Stuff to get this headline updated urgently please do so.
Expert advice is that getting Covid repeatedly is not like building immunity, it's more like accumulating damage. Each infection raises your risk of long Covid and serious complications.
This is unacceptable.

The EU continues to hold Iran accountable.
Today, EU Member States ambassadors approved new sanctions targeting 19 regime officials and entities responsible for serious human rights violations.
As the Iran war continues, the EU will protect its interests and pursue those responsible for domestic repression. It also sends a message to Tehran that Iran’s future cannot be built on repression.
You can't make this up. The EU is sanctioning Iran after it has been victimized by EU allies the US and Israel in an illegal and genocidal war of aggression.
And they are congratulating themselves for it.

How this government can look at the cook strait, the Dunedin Hospital or anything they've fucked up because they needed to scrape cash for a landlord tax cut and tell NZ they're the infrastructure guys is shocking, their heads should explode from shame.
