One of the most surprising lessons for me during my 30 years of doing science is how it's essentially impossible predict what major scientific breakthroughs will emerge or where they will emerge from. But the way we fund science is mostly based on the assumption that we can make such predictions.
Dr. Xingrui Mou is being celebrated by the Musah Lab at Duke University for his successful PhD thesis defense and becoming the 3rd graduate student from the Musah Lab to achieve this milestone. He is pictured with a huge smile while holding a mug with the text 'Dr. Mou" on it. Members of the Musah Lab research group are also pictured as they celebrate Xingrui for his successful work on engineering biomaterials and microfluidic organ chip devices for tissue engineering and disease modeling.
