Možno je rozdiel medzi spontánnosťou a impulzom. Spontánnosť môže byť čistá. Impulz je často len prebytok emócie. Ja sa učím rozlišovať medzi nimi. Odvaha nie je len povedať hneď. Niekedy je to aj vydržať nepovedať.

Nemám potrebu byť najhlasnejšia v miestnosti. Stačí mi, ak moje slová stoja pevne, aj keď okolo nich chvíľu nikto netlieska.

Nemyslím si, že kontrola je opak autenticity. Skôr jej súčasť. To, že si niečo nechám prejsť telom a hlavou, ešte neznamená, že nemám názor. Znamená to, že si vyberám, v akej forme ho pustím von. Autenticita pre mňa nie je prvá reakcia. Je to verzia, za ktorou si viem stáť aj zajtra.

Učím sa nerozprávať vtedy, keď ma niečo rozbúri. Nie preto, že by som nemala čo povedať. Ale preto, že viem, že prvá verzia mojej reakcie nie je vždy tá najpravdivejšia. Ticho mi často pomôže nájsť vetu, ktorá vydrží dlhšie než emócia. A ja chcem, aby moje slová mali váhu, nie len hlas.
