A while back, I was messing around with giving animated gifs some depth. I clipped the top edge to create a pop out illusion, and then threw in some blurring to simulate fast focus to make the effect stronger.

It probably feels that way because content is more equally distributed. I’m getting more engagement here than I ever did on X/Twitter, with 1/3 of the followers I had there. On X, content from giant accounts would get most of the distribution, so naturally those had way more likes/comments.
