Although you might have heard of Lerwick #Uphellyaa, did you know Shetland has many fire festivals to welcome the returning light and the promise of spring? Today was my local Up Helly Aa and it was an absolute joy #Shetland

Sat on Brakesy's seat for a while sheltering from the wind. Three Geese came in off the sea directly above me, almost in touching distance as they just cleared the dunes edge.Phone was in pocket but scene is in memory. It felt magical.
