This is going to be a train wreck on their PR, but I don't know what else they could have done. They can't encrypt payment information from themselves and they were compelled by Swiss gov't to turn it over

MIO: Memories in Orbit is one of the best Metroidvanias I’ve ever played. This is absolutely my favorite genre of game, and this one hits all the right notes for me.

I loved Silksong, but it leans very heavily into combat. To […] https://notes.keithjgrant.com/notes/2026/03/my-kind-of-metroidvania/

Redefining the Software Engineering Profession for AI | Communications of the ACM

Props to @scott.hanselman.com for naming the elephant in the room in big tech.

AI coding tools boost senior engineers but create challenges for juniors who lack context to judge outputs. Cutting junior hiring for near-term gains weakens the future pipeline. We’ll need apprenticeship-style paths.

I would echo this. I *have* found people "without" discipline and curiosity, but usually this is correlated with:

1. They've been shut down and shut out
2. They don't feel valued
3. They've been stripped of self efficacy
4. They don't feel safe in their environment

So, y'know... I can't blame them

πŸ’‘ CSS Tip!

Ready to start using style queries and if()? Which of the following syntaxes do you think is the correct one? Spoiler: Both of them are valid!

Learn the difference between them and when to use each one. It's the key to correctly using these features.

This! A former co-worker was so excited about AI. But they were already the type of person who created enormous amounts of code, often unprompted, always just barely working, hosting a huge burden of tech debt on the team. AI only put that into overdrive

β€œWe built the web on optimistic assumptions. We assumed good faith. We assumed people would respect robots.txt because we all understood we were building something great together. The Web was supposed to be for everyone.”

This is a very true, very depressing read.

This was solved in 1993 with the invention of the html hyperlink. That’s still how I’d solve it

a gentle criticism that modals like this are not the user experience of a social network that is friendly to hyperlinks

Ah yes, Chips Ahoy. America's favorite chewy treat, except dehydrated more than the Sahara and given the flavor profile of cardboard.

I don’t understand why this product has lasted so long. I cannot possibly think of a way to make a cookie any less appetizing without making it literally inedible.

2014404 - Enable the `layout.css.style-queries.enabled` pref on Nightly RESOLVED (jfkthame) in Core - CSS Parsing and Computation. Last updated 2026-02-04.

It looks like style() container queries are enabled in @firefoxnightly.bsky.social - this is one of the features I'm looking forward to most. Especially with range queries starting to roll out.

Egg Nog A curated collection of cocktails for the home bartender

The holidays may be over, but I’ve worked up a technique for a single-serve egg nog that I’m quite proud of. Using a milk frother wand can really mimic the thick foamy texture of the (non-alcoholic) large batch recipe I grew drinking every Christmas
