We get all sorts of amazing books in the shop, but these are a favorite for me. These are the exact same edition that I bought in the early '80s. They are in beautiful condition, I just wish that The Two Towers was not missing. #booksky

This delightful book showed up in the shop today. It took every ounce of my will to resist buying it right away. #booksky

So, this came into the shop today. A collection of drawings by James Deeds Jr, when he was a mental patient in State Hospital No 3, in Nevada Missouri. An interesting book and story.

I finished this today by @nancyfrench.bsky.social. Memoirs are not normally my bag, but this was engaging and occasionally harrowing. There is a lot in here to learn from whether you are a liberal, like me, or really anywhere on the political spectrum. A good read. #booksky

Years ago, I threw out all my old micro-USB cords thinking I would not need them. What a great fool I was! I was weak in my faith, and now I am buying more.

Understood, and at least partially agree. I am just saying that given that the number of people necessary is so small, I would be surprised, but not shocked, if this one turned out to be true.

I am normally very anti conspiracy theory. If for no other reason than that most theories would require dozens or even hundreds of folks to be in on it and keep quiet. The Epstein thing might have required a bribe to one, maybe two jail guards... And *so* many people had a motive.

You lost me at 'at some point you have to trust your reps a little.' Nope. We need people willing to serve in government, but we should not have illusions about them. You want power over your fellow man? Fine. But you need to be watched.

Okay, this just popped up in the shop, and I love it. The art and layout have a Ripley's Believe it or Not vibe. #booksky
