just found out that italics aren't called italics because italy has that funny leaning tower, i feel betrayed
brush your meat
Yeah I'm into MLM, so what?
(Me loving Marmite)
(each post will be a quote btw so just look in there)
right i'm done, yap fest over (for this post at least), go listen to V004 even if you don't like dubstep, Space Laces truly is the Hideo Kojima of dubstep
it's like they were all met with pure disgust - it sounds like the cleanest hellscape, it's so distorted and broken but also so clean and vivid at the same time and it just resulted in a permanent stank face
anyways
i can't name a single song in there i didn't like, of course some had a higher impact but that's beside the point - sandworm especially
i went through so many people's reactions to V004 and one of the most consistent things was people's reaction to sandworm
like I don't plan on making dubstep or anything, that's not my style anymore but like
ice pick made me want to pick it up again JUST so i can say i gave up because of ice pick, that's how it feels
it's more like i love it to the point i looped right back around to hating it, like what kind of sorcery did Space Laces & Svdden Death pull to do that and WHY does it sound so evil
i was legit mad for days after listening to it. it just made me so bitter, what the hell man
actually imma fixate on 'ice pick' for a second because that's one that Space Laces teased before releasing V004, and both my partners can verify that ice pick just straight up made me mad, not because i hated it mind you, kinda
but then there's songs like 'loose ends', 'untouchable', 'ice pick' and ESPECIALLY 'sandworm' that, like i said, bring about an odd feeling of despair in knowing that i'll probably never get to experience anything like that ever again
songs like 'keep it cool', 'worm time', 'rewind', and 'tank' all take me away from what i'm currently doing to get me to focus on what i'm listening to
there are moments in this mix that i've obviously heard before, but like, done with a level of mastery that's just downright stupid to hear - like yeah you can throw tomato stuff, meat and an onion in a pot and call it a bolognese, but it's that meticulous care and details that are required
it made me realise that barring two or three artists like Eptic, Eliminate, or even Svdden Death, Space Laces is currently the only consistently reliable pillar remaining in this genre. the scene evolves when he evolves, that's just how much influence he has over the genre
if you're gonna go ahead and call me a Space Laces glazer then you'd be goddamn right because good lord the sheer amount of despair this mix threw me into purely because it made me realise no one else could ever possibly come close to Space Laces as far as production level goes

5 years in the making for this since his last vaultage, with some sporadic releases in between
so far its been like a month since this came out and i don't think a day has gone by so far where I haven't at least listened to it multiple times a day
so I originally wanted to continue the trend from my old account of doing a top 10 list of my favourite songs of that year but then I thought that'd be boring and no one would realistically read that, so instead imma just go over collective musical highlights over the last year going forward
im legit mad i can't listen to anything other than vaultage 004 now, it's like eating the best meal you've ever had in your life and you have to go back to eating cold beans on toast after
0, you know what you did
