Another comparison of what is to come in v1.1! A massive amount of new apparel items will be available to find. Hard to believe this is all still rendered in a text box.

Here are some of my personal favorite pieces of new weapon arts in v1.1. No more procedurally generated blade/handle combinations! The art for each weapon will be unique to that weapon.

Here's a sneak peak at some of the equipment upgrades coming in #Glyphscape v1.1!
Every piece of apparel and weapon is getting a fresh coat of paint, and many new pieces are being added.

Exactly this. Placeholders are supposed to be eyesores so you don't accidentally leave it in. They wasted time making them pretty with AI, and now say they have no time to remove it. Clown shoes.
+5s feels right to me for extensions, because the clock is counting down the number of remaining seconds.
+5s would read like a penalty for somethin like a racing game where the timer goes up.
The first major update for #Glyphscape is coming along. Steam achievements, new equipment types, and over 150 new enemy types on the way!
Unfortunately 1.0 saves will not be compatible with version 1.1. The good news is it's still at least a week out.

I would absolutely prefer silence to genAI voices, and I think I speak for the majority here.
But environmental/ethical issues aside, I love to see the fingerprints of solo devs in their games. GenAI tramples all over that and will make a bad-but-charming game into a bad game.
I'm playing on Windows 10 via Steam and have not had any issues. I assume 11 is similar.
The very same. I'm an idiot savant with all my points in gambling skill.
Haven't found any gambling yet but absolutely blown away by how thoroughly that one background choice has affected dialogue.
Just started playing Arcanum and the opening cinematic screams "pre-9/11".
Release date: Aug 21, 2001. By the skin of their teeth.
From Jacob Collier in an episode of AHA from 10 months ago:
"Creativity doesn't show up when you're afraid to make a mistake."
The most true thing I have heard on a show of otherwise true things.
Make those mistakes, people. Some people are into those.

Been on an absolute tear this weekend making new equipment for Glyphscape. Loot variety will be much improved in the next patch.
Alternatively: "That's not the worm, that's its tongue."
Cosmic horror is so easy, watch:
"That incomprehensibly large monster, older than the universe itself? That's just the young and small version"
Remaster, Steam discounts. Tomato, tomahto. ๐
It's like solving a cold case, only to discover that you are the murderer (and the victim).
The final game of #Jamuary 2026: Hogs Killing a Snake!

You ever see a piece of contemporary art, just shapes and colors, and think "I could do that"?
Play I Could Do That and find out if you can in fact, Do That.

Launch the Bundren family from their farm to Jefferson, Mississippi in this perfectly faithful adaptation of William Faulkner's 1930 classic, As I Lay Dying.

Got an ad with a British spokeswoman claiming her family spent generations perfecting their curry recipe and I can't help but think there would have been an easier way to figure that one out.
Organizing my itch page and found that I released 4 projects in both 2024 and 2025, and I am on track to have 3 finished by the end of January 2026!
Not sustainable!
Depending on how far you stretch your request, Glyphscape can have as much of that as you please if you don't use light sources. (It's got a souls like game loop, but that's it)

Gandalf dying is so sad itโs like imagine your weed guy getting killed by a demon.
Little Link painted!
I recall telling my hairdresser "Yeah, I guess it is kind of like like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch" when trying to explain what an RPG is.
I thought the burger was your home
One more week of Jamuary and then it's back to Glyphscape for a bit.
I've built a few tools that should make it a lot easier (read: possible) to fix the balance issues, so I'm no longer feeling dread about the prospect.
I pulled the Enter key off my keyboard so I wouldn't be tempted. They say the horizontal scrollbar has no limit but they can't know that for sure.
Hahaha not all at once! Lots of small strings along the way. But the final viewport render is a single richtext object (technically 4 of em layered), so building UI means a lot of length checking and padding and slicing.
It was not a good idea.
I thought I hated making UI and it turns out I just hate writing it out by hand as a single string. Switching to proper tools was like running without ankle weights for the first time.
