When I need a word for a general sort of object thing: "object" is a reserved word. "entity" and "parent" are taken by the engine. "handle" is taken by the OS. "tracer"? I'm already Tracer. "vessel" and "template" are already in use. The thesaurus I visited suggests "dingus" 💀
