Storybook πŸ’™ npmx

Today @npmx.dev launches its alpha. What this community has built in just a few months is unreal. The vibes, the speed, the culture. The best thing happening in the JS ecosystem right now.
We're proud to be collaborating on bringing component stories to the npm browsing experience.

KickstartDS built an example of what Storybook MCP is meant for: a page generated from a simple command with a key constraint to use only components from their design system.

This keeps the results in-system and on guardrails.

Force AI agents to build accessible UI Chromatic webinar

Force AI agents to build accessible UI Chromatic webinar

AI doesn’t just generate UI faster, it repeats the same mistakes faster too.

Storybook MCP adds accessibility checks directly to AI workflows validating components as they’re generated so issues don’t compound into cleanup work.

how to implement generative ui without losing control webinar

how to implement generative ui without losing control webinar

What if your UI didn’t have to be decided at build time?

Generative UI lets AI assemble the components you already ship using intent, state + data to render UI needed in the moment.

We’re walking through how this works live with @mrmagan.bsky.social (Tambo). Register in comments πŸ‘‡

how to implement generative ui without losing control webinar

Generative UI isn’t AI writing code. It’s assembling your tested components based on intent, state & data. That only works if your component library is reliable.

We’re digging into the React workflow live with @mrmagan.bsky.social (Tambo).

storybook mcp early access program

storybook mcp early access program

AI can generate UI fast. The hard part is getting UI you’d actually merge. Without your component library + patterns, agents improviseβ€”and you clean it up. Storybook MCP grounds agents in Storybook as the source of truth.

Because published Storybooks expose their source, any secrets included this way should be considered compromised.

We’re not aware of any exploited projects. After learning of the issue, we moved quickly to release patched versions and publish a GitHub security advisory. (3/4)

Many devs are using AI to write UI. Fewer are giving it the context to do it well.

Storybook MCP lets LLMs work from your design system β€” real components, props, and patterns β€” instead of guessing.

The result: UI that looks like your product, with far less cleanup.
