i for one am shocked that the "i go in the pool to cool down, why can't my phone?" guy is bad at programming and offloading his job to the anthropic api

probably all of that and also the fact its usage is being forced at like everyone's job creating more work for engineers down the line with 0 room for avoiding it. most companies are using it to monitor minute-to-minute dev productivity (which, granted, is lower due to the reduced output)

the fact that it's slower and less accurate than manually coding with even a small amount of tooling, creates teams with 0 institutional knowledge because no one knows the finer details of what's going into releases, or that colleagues of mine are deskilling themselves by cognitively offoading?

Over the past year, every single time one of the apps or services I use suddenly became less reliable and more buggy, I never have to look far for the "Claude is amazing and now writes most of my code" post for the devs involved.
