Inkscape doesn't let you build shapes the way Flash/Animate do. You can see it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZLE....
In Flash/Animate, as you're drawing lines, you cut through existing shapes which then become their own distinct selectable polygons that you can move, recolor, shape, and so on.

Not an animator, but I really want a vector art tool that has the slice-and-select-based workflow that Flash/Animate offer. Never found anything else like it. As far as I know, the patents have expired on that stuff.

At first, it was going to be a low poly PS1-style version of the Dark Souls elite knight's helmet, but in the end I ended up making my own version, I may add some more details, but for now, that's how it stays

Yeah, that's my main concern with it is whether it can do good real-time WASD (or similar) movement, especially if you start getting into clientside prediction and lag compensation stuff for shooting.
