AASCU’s AI Symposium closed with leaders from the Mellon Foundation, @gatesfoundation.bsky.social , and Lumina Foundation joining @aascu.org's Terry Brown to reflect on philanthropy in shaping responsible AI innovation in higher education.

Day 2 of our AI Symposium began with @msudenver.bsky.social's Sam Jay and Gray Decision Intelligence's Bob Atkins on AI for student success and measurable impact. AASCU's Lisa Hunter and T3 Advisory's Audrey Ellis guided small-group exchanges on what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.

At AASCU’s AI Symposium, leaders explored responsible AI governance paired with innovation. Erin Mote, Siobahn Day Grady, Philipp Schmidt, and Shonda Gibson emphasized AI ethics and student success. The day ended with small-group dialogues with Coursedog, Coursera, @studiosity.com, and T3 Advisory.

The afternoon continues at AASCU’s AI Symposium with C. Edward Watson (@aacu.org) urging institutions to rethink pedagogy and assessment for academic integrity, while Aashir Nasim, Patrice Moorer, and Tony Frey discussed using AI to strengthen advising—without losing the human touch.

AASCU welcomed provosts to Washington, DC, for the Symposium for Provosts on Artificial Intelligence to examine AI’s evolving role in #HigherEd.

T3 Advisory's Audrey Ellis explored ethical AI strategy, and @aacu.org's C. Edward Watson discussed building AI literacy for the workforce.
