I adore this idea! But the link isn't working?
@cdotjuniper
I'm here as a beginner poet. Also a wife, teen boy-mom, non-practicing physician, rare chronic illness patient, philosophical thinker. ENFJ/INTP Canadian living in Treaty 6 territory and hikes/runs/scrambles the Rocky Mountains in Treaty 7 whenever I can.
I adore this idea! But the link isn't working?
That's much better, even if the tree (buried stick?) looks similarly forlorn.
We get a lot of snow, so sand is spread on the roads to increase traction. Then, when there's enough of a break in snowfall, the snowplows come and scrape the streets, pushing the sandy snow and ice to the sides of the roads. These ridges, sometimes quite large, are called windrows.
What building? Are you OK?
Urban Midwest Canada.
π₯Ί really? Or metaphor?
Good ad image, then. I was going to ask for the translation, but maybe not, if it's marketing!
Here's the only sand I could find, but it's not attractive!
I give you, a windrow of sand:
I had to click on the photo to discern that it was not two feathers arranged as wings. What a gorgeous rendering!
That is beautiful!
from those based on trajectory.
But on a much more fun note, have you found any sand recently?
Yes! Averages often used for prognostic probabilities, but I needed a single syllable, so went with "norm" since it's sometimes called The Normal Bell Distribution Curve, and the middle 90% is the "normal range", if I remember correctly.
I was trying to differentiate prognoses based on averages
Thank you so much, @oyoguhito.bsky.social for engaging!
But forewarned, I might
Lash myself to buoyant ship
And just ride the waves

Prognosis, here, is
Not based on norms, but sadly,
On trajectory
Thank you for that feedback! Kindly given, and much appreciated. I see what you mean. Well, look at my chaotic, semi-deconstructed brain directly expressing itself despite me! π
Well, you are one part of it today, and not an illusion!
Thank human-Steve, that is generous of you. I'm having some after-post (post-post? π) regrets about the first stanza's clarity.
Love the form you chose though - especially the second stanza referencing the first.
Thank you! I'm having some after-post regrets with the first stanza. It should start
Prognosis:
Great unpredictability
or something like that to be clearer!
Thanks Dave. βΊοΈ
Tell Steve it's a manageable prognosis with good people like Dave & co to attach to. And remind him that he can swim really, really well. π

You are the best, Quill. β€οΈ
On 4th glance, that makes no sense!π€¦ββοΈ It should read:
Prognosis:
Shifting unpredictably
And often dire
Anchorless
In an
Endless chaotic storm
#PoetsOfDoom #haynaku #omen
Prognosis
Is unpredictability
But often dire
Anchorless
In an
Endless chaotic storm
BADUKE! Great word, and great comic twist! I expected a craftier landing from the build up of the first two stanzas.
I feel like I could also say: BADUKES, that's a good poem! π€£π€£π€£
The last month or two was different - he was really happy!
π
Come on, Quill! Cartoons can use human avatars. And Dave's still looks happy!
#vss365 #magnanimous
The snow was not powdery as I surmised;
The ski trail curved down the hill slick, swift and steep.
So was it magnanimous of fate that then I
Fell tumbling onto the bridge, not the creek?
Thank you! And you were right, it did get less scary. It turns out the writing community is lovely and encouraging and not scary at all! As you demonstrated right from the start. π₯°
One year ago, I tried this out.
Special thanks to @yeehawpoems.bsky.social
@jameslester.bsky.social
@blsamaddar.bsky.social
