I don't know why, but iPlayer offends me so much more than any of the other apps that do this. Like it's trying to be one of the cool kids by making you select a coloured circle with your initial in it. I pay my Β£174.50 now piss off and let me watch telly however I want.
Petition to add an "I live on my own, there's literally only one profile set up on here, so please stop asking me who's watching all the damn time" option to all streaming TV apps.
Also bring back enhanced CD-ROM singles containing 360p versions of the music video π₯°
Although I would've been 5 years old so maybe not.
Oh boy, take me there π₯°
Ask your parents.
A selfie, I'm looking to the left and puffing my cheeks out. I'm stood in front of a shelf of boxes and Lego models.
Working from home today, wearing my hair down and in the process channelling some serious Pob vibes.
Try as I might, I'm not sure I can find a response to that π
I mean, even with our menu in shot I did wonder π¬
Two silhouetted figures, one in a fedora and trench coat and the other in a long coat, stand side by side against a split background of black and bright red. The text "MAGPIE MURDERS" is centered between them in white capital letters. The figure on the left appears to have a tie, while the one on the right has a collar that might suggest a coat or jacket. The overall design suggests a mystery or crime theme.
An illustration of two red birds on a red branch against a black background. One bird is perched on the branch and the other is flying towards it.
A red background with a black fountain pen nib in the right corner. The nib is casting a shadow on the red background. The text "ALEXANDROS LOGOTHETIS CLAIRE RUSHBROOK DANIEL MAYS MATTHEW BEARD" is written in white on the left side of the image.
An illustration of a typewriter with a red ribbon and a white page. The page has the words "THE END" typed on it in black letters. The typewriter is black and the background is white.
I've lost count of the number of new shows I've got queued to watch, but instead I'm back on a Magpie Murders rewatch because I'm clearly nothing but a creature of habit and a Lesley Manville fangirl. It's twee and it knows it, always a comforting watch, and those opening titles are just π
Oh fucking hell I forgot the other one was involved. Ugh.
(It took me three attempts to post that in a way that wouldn't make the Welsh flag emoji wrap to a line of its own. Going to petition Bluesky to add kerning controls to the compose view.)
A colourful cartoon poster advertising holidays in North Wales. The poster features a man and woman canoeing in the foreground, with a green train in the background. Behind them are illustrations of Conwy Castle, Snowdonia, and other Welsh landmarks. The text reads "NORTH WALES" in bold letters, with the tagline "UNSURPASSED IN THE VARIETY OF ITS HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONSβYOU GET THERE QUICKLY BY TRAIN" at the bottom. British Railways logo is also present.
For St. David's Day, presenting this delightful British Railways poster from 1963 promoting holidays in North Wales, with artwork by Reginald Lander. "Unsurpassed in its variety" and "you get there quickly by train", it boasts. It still is, and you still can π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ

Oh, yes. Especially the type that really want you to click through because the results will *really* surprise you (or so they claim). Also: hot single women under 40 in your area, apparently.
Crossing the River Dee through the Vale of Llangollen in North Wales. A river winds through a green valley with rolling hills and scattered trees. The sky is mostly blue with some white clouds. In the distance, there are more hills and possibly mountains. There are no visible buildings or people. The scene is peaceful and natural.
Porthdinllaen Beach in North Wales. A sandy beach with people and boats. There are white buildings with black roofs behind the beach. There is a red building with white text that says "TY COCH INN." There are green hills behind the buildings. The sky is cloudy.
The beach at Barry. A seagull flying in a clear blue sky above a sandy beach with people scattered across it. In the distance, there is a body of water and a grassy cliff with houses on top. The scene suggests a sunny day at the seaside.
Bilingual signage in Welsh and English for a lift. Along with pictograms depicting a lift and a wheelchair, text reads "Lifft" and "Lift".

The Great Heck memorial garden with a GNER train passing behind
Today we remember the 10 people who died in the Selby rail crash at Great Heck, 25 years ago on 28 February 2001.
Six passengers and four railwaymen lost their lives in this tragedy and 80 people were seriously injured.
Today railway colleagues will be gathering in Newcastle and Selby to remember
That doesn't sound the best, and I hope that it's not a regular thing, but your compensation methods are entirely rational. Have the best time π
100% need a cup of tea and a biscuit after involuntarily donating that much blood.
Just had the most incredible nosebleed. The type that leaves you instinctively running for those useless green paper towels you'd get in the toilets at school.

Thank you for your selfless efforts to maintain Anglo-French relations.
I'm sure that's just what comes out of the water dispensers, isn't it?
I'm still struggling to see the problem here π€£
That we're a railway company and don't have a single copy of Ticket to Ride in the office should be a disciplinary offence, quite frankly.
Bring your minis to work and paint some at the pub. It's a bit of a stretch but I'd love for tabletop/board gaming in the workplace to be more accepted as a health & wellbeing initiative. Meetings would be less productive maybe but definitely more fun and honestly what else do we go to work for!?
Dentist, back in Wrexham, so no and no βΉοΈ
Selfie. A man with glasses and a black hoodie. He has spiky hair and is smiling at the camera. Behind him, a paved path lined with leafless trees stretches into the distance. Tall light poles and a green fence border the path. The sky is blue with some clouds.
Feeling remarkably fresh for an early start on a day off (and putting away 8 pints yesterday despite claiming to be a non-drinker). Didn't notice my hair blending with the tree behind me though π
