I coped well with Dank Shell adding stuff over time so like I think it was Dank Shell that made me realize ... like I said in the Discord ... I dont need 9999 settings like in KDE XDDDD

Anyway the devs of Cosmic been pumping out updates to its Cosmic DE stack every 2 weeks, sometimes every week.

So I might of installed at the right time

Everyone was like ... omg Cosmic breaks every 5 minutes, WELL THATS A LIE LMFAOOOOOO, maybe it did months ago when it was in Alpha.

The Cosmic DE aint bad tbh, I knew that would be the case since Cosmic's compositor is built on the Smithay Wayland framework which niri (which I used before switching to Cosmic) uses for its compositor.

Cosmic out of the box defaults didn’t look pleasing so I looked at every setting in the control panel when I first tried in a vm to get ideas, tweaked the look. Disabled widgets I never need, moved the app launcher from top bar to dock. Of course enabled that transparency for top bar and dock :3

We do this shortly, like usual I always wait later at night to do updates since thats when repo updates are less lively SO IT BE THE BEST TIME TO DO THE REINSTALL :P

I might be moving from niri/dank shell to cosmic tonight or the weekend after playing with it in a vm.

I will reinstall cachy with cosmic with the latest cachyos iso ... since the default base packages have really been cleaned out since I last installed cachyos. So a smaller package footprint.

Yer 8GB aint gonna cut it, since you can use ram to optimize filesystems etc etc and hell ram itself lmfao
