Pretty sure the only reason why we still listen to them is the rest of the band were genuinely pleasant folks and the lead singer died a couple years after I was born.

Mine and my friends folks (in a band they had together) got to open for this band once, where the lead singer (half of the band’s name) thanked them for playing personally by making lewd comments about our moms and playing a rather explicit practical joke onstage.

As my folks (and other family friends) were all in the local music scene as well, they’d gotten the chance to meet, mingle with or open for a few of these more prominent bands of the area.

I was raised on a variety of music from the 60s onward, with a little emphasis on local bands (my folks were/are musicians) and one quite prolific artist from the Vancouver area certainly did get some play. Later on I became an independent fan of their work, got most of their albums etc.

The desk has an upper shelf with assorted tapes, videocassette players, mismatched binders and a VIA rail first aid kit.

I cannot conceive of such desktop space with my mere two
