I’m naturally a toewalker. It hasn’t bothered me enough to change it until now. I’ve recently gotten back into roller skating and skating toes first makes me less stable as well as hurts my feet.

But damn! Walking heels first is a workout!! It uses an entirely different set of muscles!!! 🛼

My autism says odd numbers are bad but my paganism prefers multiples of 3s at all times.

And idk why but I don’t like 12 very much. 18 is fine but often too big/high a number, same with 30.

Writing stories where the main characters have beef with gods is annoying because you run into moments where using “god” as an expletive wouldn’t make sense but then “for fucks sake” would be too much for what’s going on. 😭

Working on a free verse poem about the myth of Daphne and Apollo and I’m reading Stephanie McCarter’s translation of the Ovid.

My annotations currently just say “what the fuck??”

My kiddo and I started reading A Series of Unfortunate Events tonight before bed and I’m so happy I could cry. I’ve been waiting for this moment since the day she was born. It’s truly the best series. 😌

My local library has podcasting studios and equipment that they let you reserve for free so I have few reasons not to aside from it being a pain in the ass.

My work being as accessible as possible is very important to me. I will be complaining about the recording process the entire time though. 🙃

I’ve decided to make podfics for all of my fanfics because I want them to be as accessible as possible.

My dyslexic self that loathes reading aloud is already regretting this decision.

The hardest part of being a parent is not saying “I told you so” every 5 minutes. 🫠

I mainly do fantasy, fairytale and mythology retellings, and poetry. I’m also experimenting with psych/horror in my current fanfic WIP but I don’t think that will be a very reoccurring genre for me.

I want a #writer friend or group that I can talk to about writing and will help keep me accountable to my goals with daily check-ins.

But as a friend, not a coach.

And I need them to at least respect that my fanfiction is just as important to me as my “original” work.

It really does make it personal! This is my set so far. I want to add 2 more things to make it a total of 27 items because 27 is 9 sets of 3 and I love to work in 9’s and 3’s, lol.

I’ve thought of adding a bone but I worry it’ll break.

I’ve been collecting small objects for a charm-based oracle set and yesterday I let my 7 year look through what I have so far.

Today, I opened my little set to find she’s added one of her own pieces of quartz to it. Guess I have something to represent love and family now! 💗

Started plotting out what was supposed to be a basic fantasy novel only for me to realize it’ll work much better as an epic. Soooo, I’m letting it marinate while I write the Selkie duology I have planned because I’m nowhere near confident enough to do it justice yet. 😅
