I found that I did not have to download new runtimes btw. But they def don’t readily surface how to use what I had. Or maybe I’m dumb about Xcode. Either way it was a rough experience trying to get my project running again. Expo got a regular dev server. Got a migration plan brewing

Why not? Well Xcode sucks. Swift LSP doesn’t work nearly as well in VS Code. It’s just a real headache tbh. I updated it because other dev tools depend on it and now it seems like I have to decide if I’ll download new runtimes for all my simulators 🤦🏾‍♂️😒

Once I wrap up Reed I may never return to swift. Learned I can use native ui right in expo. I was so caught up on truly multi-platform (and web has no nice looking native ui). Used a lib and fought it the whole way wrt the mobile ui 🤦🏾‍♂️ eventually turning away from react native. This was a mistake

Been working on other projects bc brain 😬 I got an epub reader that has a web app and an Obsidian plugin with obs-native version of the reader that also syncs between web and obs, an aggregator to see trending topics across my feeds and a BlueSky feed

Otto(ts/effect): finish multi-user + user provisioning. Also shaping some ideas to add to the roadmap

Reed(swift): bug fixes and ux/ui

Wife’s personal site(ts/effect): got a proof of concept that needs proper implementation. Need a name for this engine/combo of obs as cms + web app renderer 🤔

I need to finish some projects. It’s the end of Jan and I owe an update to my stakeholders (😂 brother’s wife and mine) and uhhh I don’t have much. Been tuning my workflow though and I may have some stuff I can apply to make a couple decent updates before Saturday 🤞🏾
