Operation sew a little thing: I have mended a linen nightie I started pinning a patch to a few days ago. And yesterday I finished making a pair or pants I had started WEEKS ago.

So yeah, Monday's exertions are being felt today. Night sweats, so I changed nightie twice and have to dry the bedding instead of making the bed. No breakfast or morning meds.

Hundreds of GPs tell BBC they have never refused a sick note over mental health concerns The number of fit notes issued has been rising, with more than 11.2m approved in England last year.

Of the 752 GPs who replied, 212 refused a sick note or weren't prepared to say.

So people are going to their GP - who is neither qualified to diagnose, nor equipped to treat MH conditions - and almost a third say "no".

Of course, the BBC headline doesn't reflect this.
