The Crossplane v2 proposal has been out for a couple of weeks github.com/crossplane/c....
We'll discuss the proposal again at today's community meeting at 1pm US/eastern: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Well the testing and continuous delivery @fosdem.bsky.social was a wrap. Thank you for attending
Getting ready for the testing and continuous delivery devroom at @fosdem.bsky.social
Oh cool that indeed looks very useful
This. Really bad ux
reviewing submissions in pretalx is so much better then penta. And there are plenty high quality submissions for the Testing and Automation DevRoom <3 #FOSDEM
showing interaction of kro composition engine and kcp control plane
it's not without irony that I have two Kubernetes-native solutions connected and reconciling without a Kubernetes cluster/distro running. Just two binaries on my laptop.
github.com/awslabs/kro connected to a virtual workspace of github.com/kcp-dev/kcp, reconciling a custom crd
One week left to submit your talk proposal for the FOSDEM continuous delivery devroom

Are you building a platform? Yes? Well your opinions are wanted!!!
Please spend some time filling out the Platforms Working Group survey π
All the details available here: https://tag-app-delivery.cncf.io/blog/call-participation-paap-survey/
I went for an x86-p5 but the R2 Max does look good too. Ideally I want something with SR-IOV for the network cards but wasn't able to find anything.. www.ikoolcore.com/products/iko...
Unifi for the wifi, like the rest
That looks like a beast! I'm not ready to spend that much though, only just made the move from $50 SBC to $300
maybe for the next iteration :)
OpenWrt never stops surprising me when it shows up somewhere randomly: source.android.com/docs/devices...
(I was looking whether to run crosvm or firecracker for my vm needs, with OpenWrt, HomeAssistant and Fedora as guests)
Which talk is that? Gonna watch the recording
For home stuff I gave up on SBCs and bought a x86-p5. Felt a step back to go x86 but I couldn't find a reasonable powerful arm equivalent
I believe this is currently tracked as RBAC++
See slides from this talk: static.sched.com/hosted_files...
A KRM composition engine was announced yesterday: github.com/awslabs/kro. I played around with it a bit and it feels close to kubernetes and easy to understand.
It will be very interesting where this project will be heading
#kubecon
There have been witnesses...
GCP? :)
I will be around Platform Engineering Day on Tuesday, listening to my colleagues talk about enterprise grade infrastructure control plane

The FOSDEM 2025 Testing and Continuous Delivery Developer Room is open for submissions! If you have something to tell about testing and automation in the real, open source world, please submit your proposal here:
fosdem-testingautomation.github.io
Hi Michael, I'll be around. I wanted to reach out to you anyway, care to drop me a pm? (I'm unable to)
I've recently used envoy-gateway and had a good experience
π I post occasionally about KRM-based platforms
that would be really cool but I'm not sure. Maybe in the long run
That one and also the one about authorizing with label selectors: github.com/kubernetes/e...
Thanks for mentioning, I'll def join that
Stay tuned, we will publish the RfP for the @fosdem.bsky.social 2025 - Testing and Continuous Delivery DevRoom soon!
We had a great event about infrastructure automation based on the Kubernetes Resource Model in Berlin. The third already and it's really interesting to see how the platforms of participating companies evolved over the years. Now many sessions were about testing and production-readiness
There sure are a lot of APIs at
@SAP, and @max__braun is now talking about the approach they came up with to test @crossplane providers end-to-end
