We're mostly limited by the current renderer, so once we get a new one that can instance skinned meshes using mesh shaders (I can't stop talking about them), we can bump up the amount of enemies by a lot (currently limiting them to ~200).

I'm very excited about #MMC26 because we've been spending the past few days mostly polishing the game, including cinematic cutscenes. Defenders of Arcane Valley is really gonna show the cool things you can do in #Resonite!

WERO is not just some company, it is owned by many European banks. This level of enshittification would require 16 banks to agree that banning adult content is more important than their financial interests.
I absolutely hate the ultra-Christians behind American payment providers (fuck you, #VISA and #Mastercard).
They're actively trying to ban anything they don't like such as "adult content" by refusing service even though it is in their financial interest. We need #WERO now to show those companies [โฆ]

I despise "vibe coders" that pretend to be experienced programmers while once you take a short glimpse at "their code" it's worse than what a beginner could have written. And then they act offended when you point it out. Using AI for programming is not compensating for a lack of experience and [โฆ]

Same formula, but with j instead of i because physicists use j for the imaginary number for some weird reason.
Here's a version for physicists who don't understand the above formula
Formula: e to the power of half pi i times infinity equals 8. Explanation: The power represents a 90ยฐ rotation of a complex number. When you rotate (the symbol of) infinity by 90ยฐ, you get 8.

It's sad because I am no longer going to subscribe to some streaming service anymore. I want to purchase and own my music. I can understand why people choose piracy, especially when there is no alternative available.
To put this into perspective: Assuming that artists would get a conservative $0.005 per stream and I could buy the song for $2, the break-even point is at 400 streams.
According to Spotify, 1M streams generate $10k revenue. With royalites etc subtracted, that's how the artists get around $0.003 [โฆ]
Why are many artists and publishers only allowing their music to be streamed? Are purchases not much more profitable than streams?
#MMC is the month where we discover all the bugs in #Resonite :vlpn_tired_blep:
It's good that we can at least make mods to patch the issue so that we can keep working on our entry.

The official documentation doesn't really exist and the ECMA specification is just one giant unsearchable (no outline) PDF.
I have a working prototype that can inspect IL and resolve all references by just reading the metadata that's available at runtime.
I really don't like it when people keep complaining about a software, and then make their own separate project intended as a replacement. Instead of helping the existing project with fixing the issues.
Open source software doesn't need more fragmentation, it's harmful.
I'm learning electronics in University and catching up on the lectures and something obvious just clicked for me. I've heard before that "electrons are travelling in the field between the wires, not through them" and just accepted that. Now that I see the definition of electric potential [โฆ]

Am I the only person playing #Hytale on #Linux that keeps getting AMD GPU driver crashes?
The hostile mobs in #Hytale are too cute. I want to pet the foxes and I want to hug the giant fluffy spiders.

Signal Desktop open at 1/3 the width of the screen, leaving enough space for 2 vertical brainrot videos. Signal chat with 3 messages highlighted: "Also how do you fuck up the layout on Desktop so much. Those messages are on different continents", "resize the window to be less wide", "Yay, now I have half of my screen I can use for subway surfer videos"
You may not believe it, but this is how @signalapp thinks people use the Signal Desktop App.

It's both funny and disappointing that, while Apple provides a phblic GPG key for sending encrypted mail to them, their standard mail app does not support GPG.

We got Mesh Shaders to work on #wgpu!

Mesh pipelines are great for many things such as skinning, LODs, and procedural meshes.
