iPhones and Android phones can already tell you what song is playing in the background, regardless of what app you’re using at the time. There is literally no reason to ask a chatbot to identify it for you.

The Twitter Sensation: Folkestone Toddler Nearly Eats Slightly Out Of Date Pasty Front page of the Folkestone Herald (if you excluded the advertising wrap-around) on 25 August had the headline of "Out-of-date pasty is sold to young mum: Toddler took bite of food three days past it...

It probably is gone, this was from 2011. www.fhld.uk/news/article...

The recreated Sinclair ZX Spectrum! The only full-size recreation of the 1980s personal computer.

Oh yeah, the Recreated ZX Spectrum. That was it, could be used a regular USB or Bluetooth keyboard. recreatedzxspectrum.com

I vaguely remember somebody making one at one point. Nowadays you can buy an old Spectrum and turn it into a USB keyboard: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXw0...

All I know is, my Iranian friend who grew up there absolutely loves what Trump and Netanyahu are doing. Literally never seen him happier. And that makes me feel very weird.

I’m still not sure whether the US one or the British one was worse.

And yet my Iranian friends are genuinely relieved and delighted that Trump and Netanyahu have come to β€œsave” his country. Literally never seen them happier. And that makes me feel very weird.

Nonetheless, my Iranian friend in the EU is still absolutely delighted about what's happened so far. Literally never seen him happier. And that makes me feel very weird.

It's hardly a forgotten game - it features in many people's lists of top Spectrum games, and is often cited as a spiritual precursor to the original GTA.

No idea if anyone remembers the Amstrad version, but that's the Spectrum version, which I very much do!

I probably would if I was still living there, but to be honest I can’t remember the last time protests in the UK made the slightest difference to anything. (Poll tax, maybe?)

To be honest, I expect he believes it exactly as much now as he did in 2019. (However much that really is, can never tell with these folk how much is just performative bollocks.)

It makes a lot of sense how these people fall for scams, con men, and cults.

They seem predisposed to believe a fantasy even when all evidence is to the contrary.

True. We used to look after a dog that we knew for a fact had never heard our doorbell before, but first time it rang she was there like shot.

I mean, you don’t *have* to. People don’t generally achieve things independently of their thoughts and beliefs.

I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.
