The visualization of each indicator’s development since the pandemic’s beginning supports the assessment of the current situation.
The Pandemieradar allows visitors to explore detailed data on ten indicators from multiple perspectives. The underlying data is automatically updated more than 45 times a week.

Our analysis shows that the impact of various countries on global CO2 emissions differs a lot. While some countries (e.g., Germany) have massively exceeded their emissions budgets in the past, other countries (e.g., Lebanon) emitted hardly any carbon dioxide. [4/7]
We calculated an individual CO2 budget for each country based on its average population count throughout the industrial age. By comparing those budgets with actual historical emissions, we determined which countries overshot their budget. [3/7]
The 2015 UN Climate Change Conference in Paris decided that it is of utmost importance to restrict the global temperature increase to 1.5°C. Humanity must limit its CO2 emissions to reach this goal according to the budget of 2,790 gigatons of CO2. [2/7]
We are proud to launch our first NAND Lab project, in which we analyzed and visualized the contribution of individual countries to the global CO2 emissions. We based our analysis on the idea of a “Fair Share”.
