Exciting times ahead!

Today marks the first day of the Loeff Lab at Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands 🇳🇱. I’m thrilled to begin this new adventure and continue exploring microbial defense mechanisms and their applications through an integrative structural biology approach.

I am super excited to announce that I will be starting my lab at the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Zurich in Switzerland next year!

We have written up a tutorial on how to run BindCraft, how to prepare your input PDB, how to select hotspots, and various other tips and tricks to get the most out of binder design!

Well the award for most cowardly, boot-lickingest academic society has squarely gone to the American Society of Microbiology, who has taken down features of various non-white scientists. Absolutely pathetic behavior. Those articles are now coming up as “under review”. Truly sickening cowardice here.

I'm really looking forward to this episode. Pat's youtube videos have helped me a lot in getting a foothold in bioinformatics.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2024 Congratulations to David Baker, who was recognized for computational protein design, and to Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper, who were recognized for protein structure prediction. These achievements also celebrate the work of the PDB depositor community and the PDB archive that underpinned development of their prediction methods.
