lol! There's definitely some generational stuff going on, but I'd still rather invite them in rather than write them off. They're suffering with drought, rising property taxes, and no doctors at closed ER's so this may be a time when minds can start to change.

Division is what has created these issues. Getting information to people and treating people with respect rather than accusing them of being selfish is a bigger step in the right direction. I simply don't believe in putting people down or assigning others as being superior.

People can only make decisions on information they receive. Rural areas of Alberta do not have the choices or representation that the urban areas do, therefore, they get more propaganda and rhetoric with no opposing position. Getting the facts to them should be priority over condemnation.

Since 2019, changes to access-to-information laws, fiscal reporting rules, and oversight processes have quietly reduced how much government information the public can see.

When the rules change, the curtain moves.

The UCP's healthcare "restructuring" has cost Alberta tax payers billion with nothing but bad and expensive results. More restructuring just means it's getting ripped apart, dismantled, and public health care destroyed. And Albertan's are paying for it in more ways than one.

Israel censors West Bank abuses through media bans, journalist arrests, and NGO expulsions, limiting visibility despite UN reports of apartheid-like conditions, while US vetoes shield it from UN action.

The UN Security Council Veto: Why “Never Again” Was Conditional The world is watching Iran. The UN Security Council is watching too — that's all they can do.

The UN promised “never again.”

But international law has no sovereign enforcer.

From Rwanda to Syria to Gaza to Iran, the pattern is structural — not accidental.

They do but they don't care. It's a government that feels very little responsibility on any level for the people of Alberta.

It's a reasonable request to ask the federal government to clarify its position on Bill 11 and, if it violates the Canada Health Act, to use its tools to protect universal, public‑funded care.

Are We Paying Just to Work Here? Alberta hit record oil output in 2025. Royalties dropped 24%. Debt hit $109B. A documented analysis of how Alberta's government stopped listening to citizens.

In 1905, Albertans made an agreement with their government. Citizens fund it. Government serves them.

The record shows what happened to that agreement — and how government stopped listening to its citizens.

If the current model is more targeted, better‑conditioned, and clearer on jobs and private matching than the pre‑Carney approach, it is showing success. The key will be whether it can expand to more SMEs, rural regions, and mid‑skill workers over time — not whether it solves everything right away.

Carney's projects mandate private matching funds (1:4 ratio) with Major Projects Office oversight and public reports on jobs/funds. Early stages limit trickle-down proof; federal audits apply, unionization project-specific.

These aren't limited to the Ring of Fire—projects span Canada, covering engineering, trades, logistics, and analysis, with salaries from $50K–$300K based on skills. No specific quotas or non-trades focus are detailed yet; it's about attracting private investment rather than govt picking numbers.

Definitely. A consistent lack of empathy or compassion, especially when paired with chronic lying or manipulation, is a strong indicator of sociopathic or antisocial personality traits. It's becoming more normalized with these individuals more prominent as political figures.

Shame is deeply shaped by empathy and compassion, and without those traits, leaders are far more likely to focus on inflating their ego and gaining power than on caring for others.
