Instead of testing new LLMs with Flappy Bird or Pelican-on-a-bike (both of which may be in training data many times over), how about having them try to implement highly-rated features in large OSS projects that have no implementation/PRs? ๐ค

v3.112 of the Dart/Flutter extensions for VS Code have been published! Release notes here -> dartcode.org/releases/v3-... #flutterdev
Hey Dart Devs, do you use an IDE that uses Dart LSP (e.g. VS Code - IntelliJ doesn't)? Now with the new Dart 3.8, I added a Ctrl + Click option for your lints that takes you to the the docs!
Built upon @dantup.com work for pub packages!

We're thinking of adding a new lint to package:lints - dart.dev/tools/linter.... The lint warns about omitted types that can't be inferred and default to dynamic.
Try it out and provide feedback to github.com/dart-lang/sd.... Thanks!

Hey everyone! Please try out the new 'Go to Import' command I created for Dart!

Amazon is such a mess these days. This is a Sold-by-Amazon product... ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Are Amazon sellers allowed to put anything they want in their display names? Having 5 stars seems pretty dodgy... makes me wonder if you could just put "Amazon" or other brands names in there? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
v3.104 of the Dart/Flutter extensions for VS Code have been published! Release notes here -> dartcode.org/releases/v3-... #flutterdev
Only today did it occur to me that if I add Descriptions to my PoSh aliases I can have them printed at startup as a reminder.
The number of times I've looked up this "print git branches sorted by commit date" command, forgetting I'd created an alias ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
I thought I replied to this, but don't see it... I do use PowerToys (mostly for Fancy Zones), but I need my cursor to be visible without needing to spam buttons, that would be just as infuriating :D
Seems like disabling MPO may have fixed this (link is an Nvidia article, though my card is AMD). I thought I'd done this in the past to fix a different issue (text cursor lagging/jumping), but maybe it got reset in an update?

Last few weeks, I'm frequently having Chrome show a white i-beam cursor over a white background, so I'm frequently losing my cursor.
Is it just me? Can't find any other recent complaints online, but it's driving me mad ๐
Maybe in time this will be too... But hopefully there is better control of what I see here (or by self hosting)
I think it's a tough problem to solve well because there's a lot of code that looks similar but isn't, or doesn't but is. It might be difficult to balance false positives/false negatives. Being able to understand what each function does (for ex. with AI) might improve the results.
What kind of code review comments do you think are valuable and could be done with AI today? Asking for a friend.
Bonus points for actually writing the tests as "suggested changes" ๐
"This/similar code already exists in [other file/framework]"
"nit: typo / British spelling ๐"
"add tests for [some missing interesting inputs]"
Coding styles that can't be easily enforced with lints?
Not sure how much I'll use this, but Twitter and FB are so full of stuff I didn't ask for, I figured it's worth a look :)
We're all good, thanks! You?
