Meet Coop V.0 Robust Open Online Safety Tools or ROOST is a new non-profit entity designed to address the urgent need for accessible, high-quality safety tools in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Today, @roost.tools is releasing Coop v0, an open-source review tool for online safety. Run it on your own infrastructure with free child safety detection tools, including HMA for hash matching against known CSAM and the Content Safety API for novel CSAM detection.

Finally figured out how to get blackbox exporter monitoring working with prometheus operator and Probe resources. It immediately flagged that I had an expired SSL cert … turns out I had a typo in a YAML file. :-)

I'm still writing code the hard way. I'm slow. I like to think critically about every line of code and fiddle with variable names until everything looks right. I treat code as a liability and try to ship only what's necessary.

It's hard to imagine writing code any other way.
