see also all the zoomers to whom it's socially acceptable to talk about having an interest in "lolcows." i could go on and on
i also feel like people being more comfortable talking about autism and making self-deprecating jokes about it has had an unfortunate side effect of some people being way too comfortable slinging the word autistic around as an insult again to own nerds they find annoying on the internet
very common thing i see is people shaming all sorts of odd but ultimately harmless behaviors, and the elephant in the room is that it's a behavior often associated with autism. but if you say this they'll often deflect with "well obviously i wasn't talking about autistic people specifically"
i mean there's every other kind of bigotry out there too online. always has been. but i feel like ableism is one that's really common to see on either the right OR the left right now. the resurgence of people throwing around the R-slur is just the tip of the iceberg
there's a constant background radiation of ableism on the internet these days that makes it very not fun to use. never know when i'm gonna stumble across someone casually being incredibly cruel about autistic people, either implicitly or explicitly
the lanterns show looks kind of bad to me, but i'm also like the only person alive who thought that true detective season 1 was just *pretty good* but kind of overrated, so i'm very much not the target audience for a green lantern show that's like 90% true detective season 1 and 10% green lantern
Dear God It Is Happening Again
i feel like a lot of people these days use the word "twee" when they want to call something cringe but in a way that makes them sound intellectual
like even your average discord server admin understands you do not go on the server and start talking shit about your users where they can see
this site blew up on accident because it was the most direct and least objectionable alternative to twitter when it imploded and none of the people running it have any PR training whatsoever and, in fact, don't even seem to understand basic concepts like "keeping that thought in the group chat"
with the power of claude bluesky's coders have more free time to publicly post on main about how much contempt they hold for their own userbase and circlejerk each other and post about how they're laughing, actually anytime any of them is being criticized for literally anything
A grid of games including: Undertale, Mother 3, Sonic Adventure, Kentucky Route Zero, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Night in the Woods, Final Fantasy VII, Cave Story, Mega Man Legends, Halo 3, Shovel Knight: King of Cards, Fez, Psychonauts 2, Kirby's Adventure, The Beginner's Guide, Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2, La-Mulana, We Love Katamari, and UFO 50
i can't limit myself to just nine games lol here's 20. mix of old and new favorites and games that had a big impact on me as a dev, limited to one per series for the sake of variety
anyway these are all good picks! i voted for cactus man but i also really liked sweeper woman, juggle man, and valve man. any of these would be cool. recycle man stands out the least to me but there's also a certain charm in having a bot with an obvious municipal services function
the dickman design didn't make it to the finals crisis averted lmao
i don't have it yet but it's getting rave reviews
game freak has top billing because it seems like it was their idea but the director was the co-director on dqb2
boane if it was goated
#umamusume #transformers
oh i didn't realize pokopia was LITERALLY co-developed by the dq builders team at omega force lol. that explains everything
new cozy game pokemon chromakopia
they also just put out marvel cosmic invasion a few months ago lol. so having two very different takes on the beat-em-up genre from the same studio back to back is interesting
it's paced very differently because they went full river city ransom with one big map as opposed to discrete levels, and missions send you all across it as you go through the story, but imo this is to its benefit. they didn't need to just make the original game (or shredder's revenge) again
anyway scott pilgrim EX is very fun
LRP lol. lmao even

i for one am shocked that the "i go in the pool to cool down, why can't my phone?" guy is bad at programming and offloading his job to the anthropic api
with the power of claude bluesky's coders have turbo-charged their productivity to new heights never thought possible which is why they've only shipped like two new features in the last year
for me it was always one of those old Nerd Culture institutions that felt impenetrable if you weren't already into it, like warhammer or something. and then hasbro started pumping out random crossovers like crazy, diluting magic's identity for a quick buck, and now that's all i hear about from it
mega man should've had a live action tokusatsu series in japan at some point. zx in particular is already basically just a kamen rider. star force too
A screenshot of Scott Pilgrim EX. In the underpass area, Scott talks to a cat with the face of Wallace Wells. Cat Wallace: "Nyaa! Low on money or HP? Try breaking stuff! It's da best, nyaa!"
whadda hell... cat wallace........
