Demo time! Victoria Lush from Aston University has chaired a session on Data Space technologies developed in the sister projects: semantic interoperability, Eclipse Data Connectors, data spaces for cities and blockchain-based alternatives.
But what is the EuroGEO Action Group on the Green Deal Data Space? Alba Brobia (@creaf.cat, AD4GD) walked us throught the activities and objectives of this collaboraborative initiative: do research in the data spaces domain in support of the goals of #GEO.
We continue with @joanma747.bsky.social (@creaf.cat and AD4GD). He broke the ice with a tought question: What REALLY defines the Green Deal Data Space? Here some misconceptions: it is not a data storage facility, it is not already deployed and it is not a way to forget about metadata and standards.
Let's go! Slides ready, speakers prepared and audience engaged. Our final event in #Vienna has just started! We are sharing 3 years of experience developing the Green Deal Data Space with the EuroGEO Action Group.

Where is science in data spaces? Our booth in the data space symposium.
Can we monitor #biodiversity from space? YES. Last week, @creaf.cat researcher Ivette Serral attended the #Biospace25 conference at @esa.int. She showcased how a European Green Deal Data Space could enhace terrestrial habitat connectivity analysis using #EarthObservation, in-situ & #IoT data.
These are the 11 steps of the Life Cycle of Scientific #Data. Each one proposes specific challenges that the Common European #DataSpaces should take into account for each particular type of data. Which stage do you consider most critical?
