The internet is missing a .spy Top-Level Domain for my x-mas side project... why aren't the spy agencies making a fuse about this?!
For me, next year will be the year of spiffe.io. Although we've been relying on it for some time already through our tight integration with Istio. I want to push it a layer down toward the infrastructure (where it belongs). Once you have it in place, multi-cloud discussion becomes so much simpler.
Just booked my flight for KubeCon NA 2025. If you have to pay it out of your own pocket, better be fast when prices are low. I shouldn't have waited... the prices were lower a few days ago. Airplane tickets are like gambling.
I assume it's because of this: signal.org/blog/proxy-p...
A Cloud Native local chapter reboot. It was fun meeting everybody. And we made lots of plans for next yearβ¦ like a blue sky account π.
Oh... excited!... I just got a person mail for @reckless.bsky.social. It's start with, "Hey there, itβs good to have you on board." This makes my day. www.theverge.com/2024/12/3/24...
And just like squirrels, we sometimes forget we stashed our stash somewhere.
@bsky.app could do a server split and run a server in the EU region, and sign its citizens up on that server. It will grow, a relative big server, and prove that the @atproto.com protocol really works... and at the same time, make some bureaucrats happy.
I would pay for an edit option. As a dyslectic, I constantly type typo's. My coworkers even see when I use AI because it makes less typo's π¬.
Let's see how resilient π¦ follows are: Light mode for the win!!! Well, except for IntelliJ, but that's because of the Darcula theme... and maybe zed (running that in dark mode π€)... ok, ok... my terminal is black. But that's it... I think πΆβπ«οΈ.
Sniff... yeah. Probably would cost an arm and a leg to ship and for customs.
And, you can always buy them back when you need them again... at 100 times the price.
That only happens when you have a health balanced sales and tech culture in the company.
After almost two decades, I'm reevaluating the use of Gmail. Since I moved to Fastmail, you realize that *categorizing* mails, though *rules*, is a lot of work... but it's worth it. (my main reason for the move away from GMail: lack of custom domains, and the rule engine is mediocre).
Me neither, but it's nicely listed on the wiki page. It lists all the variations as well, ideally for the different Kubernetes distributions.
Darn, my Google Cloud bill is 107x higher. I think I'll need to jump on the current trend of cost-cutting.

A few weeks ago, I presented at ArgoCon (co-located KubeCon event). My second presentation where I created my slides with slide.com, the online editor from the authors behind reveal.js: 30 sliders for 10 minutes, so full of animations. Loved the editing experience. slides.com/alexvanboxel...
Already following, but there be many slow movers, if they ever move at all.
Just bought the complete PDF zine pack. Looks great on an iPad. Makes me file like buying an iPad-mini just for this...
I used the other place to follow companies and brands that I liked as well. I don't have the impression that they are moving, and I would like to follow some companies like ESA, CERN, NASA, etc... some did move, like @cncf.io, but they're not (very) active.
