There isn't a boardgames wrapped but MAGICAL ATHLETE is easily my favourite of 2025 - I've played loads of times and it never stops being funny and interesting. I love introducing people to it. Huge recommendation!

If there's one thing I wish the boardgame crowd could internalize, it's this. You never hear designers say "Oh there's nothing to it" pejoratively about a game.

If it's said, it's usually in AWE.

This is hands down my favorite race/betting/party game. I've played it a handful of times at different events over the last few months and every one has been a blast. It a perfect depiction of mascot races down to the human eyes inside the costumes.
