This is just not true, where did you get this from? Current techniques for training don't account for "I don't know" answers, but often you can prompt them to use it. A change in how training is done would fix it.

Guns are a bad comparison because all they can do is kill. It's more like a knife, yeah you can stab someone but you also want it in your kitchen.

The good ones aren't hyper scaled, that's the part that's bad. My models I run at home are fine. Misinformation is bad, even if it's a topic you're against.
