I gotta disagree. There's /zero/ magic in this series. Everything from the Escafil Device [morphing cube] to the tech the Yeerks and Andalites use is HEAVY sci-fi.
My focus here is on whether or not is a scifi/horror series. Cuz this has the most BRUTAL depictions of transformations I've ever read.
I've been doing a re-read to brush up on my lore for some deep dive discussions and honestly-- it might not make you /afraid/ but I think it's still horror.
The depictions of the transformations, being stuck in a morph, having to do that to someone to /save their cause/-- David was DARK.
