Italy calls for suspension of carbon price in major attack on EU climate policy The call would allow businesses to pollute for free, undermining the bloc’s longstanding emissions trading scheme.

Energy security isn’t about choosing which petrostates to rely on.

It’s about breaking the cycle for good.

Every delay, every loophole, every watered-down climate policy increases Europe’s vulnerability.

If Europe wants real energy security, the answer isn’t more LNG terminals or new gas deals.

It’s:
✅ cutting fossil fuel demand
✅ scaling up renewables, grids and storage
✅ electrifying heating & transport
✅ insulating homes

This is the structural problem.

The EU is one of the world’s economies most dependent on fossil imports. Diversifying suppliers is not energy sovereignty. It’s diversifying dependence. And as oil prices rise, so do Russia’s and US revenues

We’re holding the European Commission @ec.europa.eu to its promise to the 1.4M citizens who backed #EndTheCageAge!

Europe - and its animals - deserve better.

⚠️ Germany drops the mandatory 65% renewable rule for new heating systems!

By replacing binding renewable requirements with comparatively modest green fuel quotas, the reform sends exactly the wrong investment signal: it risks locking in new gas and oil boilers instead of accelerating clean heating.
