I usually drill a hole somewhat below the middle of the sticks we are going to use to stabilise our lantern in the final steps, cut out the rest and file a bit to achieve the notch in the middle. Two more holes at the end and we are good to go!

Somehow my Dokomi prep-support isn't supporting 😿
Either he is playing with my paper scraps or sleeps under the table. So I guess it's all on me again 🙈
And we continue with lantern crafting! At least for a bit 😊
The next step is to drill holes into the plastic foil in order to prepare it to be tied together in the next step.

Usually the point within the lantern crafting where I start panicking, is when I have to cut a bunch of wood and drill an infinite amount of holes into it with my crappy equipment because this takes FOREVER. But not this time! This time I got lucky and my dad was so kind to help me ❤️
After drying comes gluing! Followed by more drying of course 😅
Each print will be hand glued to a 0,2mm thick transparent foil. This gives it more stability and prevents the paper from being damaged easily. 😊

Several cultural highlights, such as show acts, food trucks, cosplay contests or marshal art shows are spread over parts of the city and will be concluded by the fireworks at the Rhine
