The billionaires' eugenics project: how Epstein infiltrated Harvard, muzzled the humanities and preached master-race science Edge - Jeffrey Epstein's favourite intellectual salon - was sold to me as a gathering of the world's finest minds, writes Virginia Heffernan. Weird right? The human mind has such blind spots. I wonder what mine are.

The project kept entities out of the most famous level, from the original image. Which is an improvement.

The Backrooms is a fun project but its funny that some of the entities are just Angry Moths, apparently a type of being that transcends dimensions.

The calculated cowardice of Western leaders, and the selective outrage at imperial aggression, has been very informative for how I write my own villainy in my story.

for those of you who werent adults during iraq, its hard to overstate how much the media loves war porn. they salivate over pentagon spin briefings. they love stories about all the bombs and how supposedly infallible they are. they love the notion of the commander in chief, in the situation room etc

[We see a close up of a young white male, tanned, white teeth, coiffed hair clearly an influencer on social media. It is an image such as you see when social media posts are shown on the news. In the corner of the screen is named a location: DUBAI. He is staring slightly off-camera for several silent panels of the comic strip. His eyes move slightly. He is having a thought.]

From off-screen a newsreader’s commentary comes:

NEWSREADER:

Extraordinary images here

of an expat in Dubai

[The influencer’s eybrows raise slightly]

…Having their first ever geopolitical thought.

[CUT TO a BBC news scene. The BBC newsreader CLIVE MYRIE is talking to an interviewee next to the screen showing the social media influencer’s face. The interviewee’s name is David Jones].

CLIVE MYRIE:

To explain the significance of this moment we’re joined by David Jones, our Expat Thoughts correspondent

DAVID JONES:

Clive, this is momentous

It was caught on film at the end of an Instagram post titled: β€˜Dubai Is Brilliant’.

[Pointing at the screen, the influencer’s expression still the same]

You can clearly see in the eyebrows here, the dawning realisation that there *might* be something in the world beyond his dickhead self.

It marks a *huge* departure from all the Dubai Expat’s previous thoughts.

CLIVE MYRIE:

Which are…?

DAVID JONES:

You've Got To Get Yourself Out Here Mate, Everything Is So Clean, I Don't Have To Pay Taxes,
I Am Incurious As To Why I Do Not Have To Pay Taxes, and Spa.

CLIVE MYRIE:

And might we see an expansion of these new Thoughts in coming days?

DAVID JONES:

I think we can expect to see:

β€œI Deserve To Be Airlifted By A Country I Pay No Tax To”

CLIVE MYRIE:

Mmm.

[Ends]

The people who have brought the R word back, including leftists using it, are embarrassing. It was already litigated that it was a cruel thing.

They just decided that hurting vulnerable people was an acceptable price to pay to use a mid at best insult.

03.03.2026 11:14 πŸ‘ 166 πŸ” 27 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 3

No its Twitter. The insults were all the R-word, 'snowflake' etc. Right wing politics

The paper I read suggests issues starting as early as 30 years from now

Who do you think will pay for sequestration? The great powers outside of China seem to be denying this is even an issue

This is based on my fearful impressions of us now. Im not a scientist or a sociologist. What I hope is that the fear and anger is ultimately directed towards those poisoning us, and CO2 is drawn down. Stranger things have happened. /END/

Supplements to address the metabolic issues are invented, those who can afford them and aren’t lost in conspiracism use them. Wars and climate refugee/food crises divide societies, some collapse./

1. The studies will first be denied.

2. The health effects will be denied.

3. As the health effects become apparent, they will be blamed on diet/medicine (ie vaccines) leading to reactionary anti-science panic.

4. The rich will start using CO2 scrubbers in their aircon systems./

Given there is evidence we are driving CO2 levels so high it may affect us physically in 30 years, some predictions based on how people act now /thread/

Also want to hear your predictions

The Shrike meets Colonel Kassad in the sands of Hyperion, from Dan Simmons 'Hyperion Cantos'.

This was an excellent series of books from an author I would later learn had cruel personal politics, which seemed to run counter to many of the themes in his work.

My latest artwork - two astronauts exploring the surface of Saturn's icy moon, Enceladus. Plumes from the subsurface ocean are lit up by the dim sunlight.

Digital painting, @blender.org and Photoshop, 2026.

Any cool ideas for what the mission should be called?
