And that’s a problem for all of us.
If the best info is paywalled:
- AI serves only 2nd/3rd best sources.
- Future generations lose access.
- The world splits: those with access and those without.
They’ll just become Democrats again. They move to whatever party is in office. Mercenaries.
The Ellison family is also about to own every major Black-media brand in America, and the largest Spanish-language cable portfolio outside of Univision and Telemundo.
And they have never publicly stated a SINGLE commitment to Black or Latino audiences. Not one.

Non-journos are moving into journalism and doing a better job by embracing new tech, accuracy, and releasing it faster than any human can produce.
The level of hyperbole over at X is making me nauseous.

These are the "hot tub" machines that NYC is using to melt that hard, crusty, dirty snow all over the city. Really great tech.

PREDICTION 6: America elects its first Latino president.
The demographics make it undeniable.
PREDICTION 5: Mexico City becomes the gateway capital. Not Miami.
With its location to both the U.S. and South America, a massive manufacturing workforce, CDMX becomes the second-most important city in the West.
PREDICTION 4: New York becomes the capital of the new American order.
Washington and Mar-a-Lago run administration and military.
PREDICTION 3: The Caribbean becomes the Hamptons of the Western Hemisphere.
Should Cuba fold, Wall Street developers will have their crown jewel… the world's most desirable real estate destination.
PREDICTION 2: Spanish-language media in the US turns into heritage programming.
Univision and Telemundo become heritage and nostalgia US outlets, but serve as the gateway networks for Latin American audiences.
PREDICTION 1: American Latinos become the center of Latino culture.
The definition of "Latino" in America will go from Latin American to American Latino. From Spanish to English. From immigrant identity to US-born identity.
"Latino" will mean American, the same way "Italian" or "Irish" does today.
For decades, U.S. Latinos have existed in this strange limbo: "Too Latino to be American, too American to be Latino."
But today:
• 1 in 5 Americans are U.S.-born Latinos
• Majority are English-dominant & young
This reality check spills over into 6 predictions I foresee for the next decades…
Who benefits most from this E.U. like unification of the Americas?
• Wall Street
• American tourists
• South American elites in step with U.S. interests
• The South American middle class
And one group rarely talked about: American Latinos.
But will South America roll over and just accept Americanization?
History says yes. Rome offered citizenship. Britain offered trade. America brings prosperity and security.
If income triples across the continent, most will take the deal. Their children will have opportunities they never imagined.
Just look at these LATAM numbers:
• Argentina, Bolivia, Chile have 60% of global lithium
• Brazil has 12% of Earth's fresh water
• Peru has 2nd largest copper reserves
• Colombia is LATAM's largest coal producer
• Mexico has a top manufacturing workforce
Ripe for A.I.
But for the AI economy to work, it needs minerals and vast resources: copper, lithium, land, labor, and energy.
Latin America has all of it. And always has.
Whoever controls these resources controls the physical infrastructure of the AI era.
Nobody knows when this geopolitical mess ends. But if we end up with a theoretical unified Americas under U.S. leadership…
you're describing the wealthiest economic bloc in human history.
An AI-powered super-continent built on Latin American resources and the almighty American dollar.
