Man. The games industry is depressing right now.

this sucks. no patience for the people laughing at it, calling it concord 2.0, etc. if 2 million people pick up a game, and you have to shutter it and lay everyone off, it doesn't matter if the game is good or bad. it's a symptom of a much bigger and deeper problem.

The small chips covered an entire dinner plate with multiple layers. It weighed so much. I think I'm currently part chip. I've never had to get a second plate for the chicken because there's so much that it won't all feasibly fit on one plate.

We found a fantastic chicken place locally, except we ordered what we thought were ordinary amounts of food.. you know, small chips, popcorn chicken, burger combo.

Holy shit we should have checked the reviews. The amount of food we ended up with was legitimately mad. SO MUCH FOOD.

Think we're skipping this year and will see if they can get things together properly for 2027 instead. First year events can be terribly run and the communication from them has been VERY much lacking, so... going to head to a more usual con instead, I think.

So the Melb ren fair released new tickets after they sneakily dropped all of the previous ones on the same day and sold out in 24 hours, and these are $20 more expensive than the originals.

$80 for one person is a bit steep for a first-year event that has terrible access & strange planning.
